White Rose Bridge – An Impressive Connection Across the Nemunas
The White Rose Bridge is a unique structure in Alytus, built on the preserved piers of the former railway bridge. This striking pedestrian and cyclist bridge is listed in the Lithuanian Book of Records.
The bridge connects Old Alytus with the resort part of the Old Town and the Alytus Mound, becoming an important link between two recreational areas. It offers a convenient and safe way for pedestrians and cyclists to reach attractions located on the other side of the Nemunas River.
Before the construction of the White Rose Bridge, pedestrians and cyclists had to take a much longer route via the Antanas Juozapavičius or Kaniūkai bridges. Now, this modern bridge not only improves urban connectivity but also serves as a point of interest for both locals and tourists.
