What awaits the residents?

• Until June 16 – partial traffic restriction
• From 16 June to 1 September – the bridge will be completely closed

During this period, pedestrians, cyclists and drivers will be diverted across the Millennium Bridge. The detour will be marked with warning signs.

During the repairs, the bridge bearings will be renewed, the overlay will be repainted, the coating and deformation seams will be replaced.

We will keep the authentic stones installed in 1937 visible on the bridge’s embankments open for admiration.

“We plan to start work at the end of May. We understand that there will be inconveniences, but repairs to the bridge are necessary. We urge residents to plan their trips in advance and give them more time,” says Titas Lukšas, the head of Alkesta.
