Alkesta will renew two strategically important regional road sections in the Suwałki Corridor, in Lazdijai District – an almost 9 km section from Lazdijai to the Polish border and an approximately 11 km section between Šventežeris and Seirijai.

The works will include the renewal of road surfaces, intersections, access roads and bus stops, as well as the repair of a viaduct and the improvement of other infrastructure important for traffic safety. After reconstruction, connectivity with Poland and military mobility capabilities will improve.

The value of the repair works on two strategically important regional roads – Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai (No. 132) and Lazdijai–Akmeniai (No. 135) – amounts to EUR 19.6 million, including VAT.
