A Christmas present for the residents of Alytus region – paved roads
Alkesta completed the implementation of as many as four transport infrastructure projects in the city and district of Alytus before the major holidays of the year. These projects will contribute to a better quality of life and more convenient transport for residents and businesses.
- A completely new section of the asphalt street has been built on Artojų Street in the city of Alytus on the site of the former fields and bushes. It is a promising Meistrų Street, where an industrial zone will be formed.
- In the block of individual houses on Žirgų and Voveraičių streets in Alytus, a 1.5 km section of the street has been paved, sidewalks and lighting have been installed.
- In the village of Gečialaukis, Nemunaitis eldership (Alytus district), a 1.8 km long section of road has been completed, replacing the potholed gravel road.
- In a rural area between the villages of Nemunaitis and Vangelonys, a section of road of about one and a half kilometers has been paved, which stretches through the forest. The road was paved very quickly – in just a month.
We are also pleased with the ongoing project of the reconstruction of the Alytus Health Trail. It is planned that residents will be able to enjoy the renovated trail as early as spring 2025.
According to Tito Lukšas, the CEO of Alkesta, the year 2024 has been a successful and productive year: “This year, we have made a significant contribution to the reconstruction of the longest and most technically complex section of the Via Baltica and have returned to work in the city – we have won a number of public contracts for transport infrastructure works in the city and district of Alytus. It is nice to see that former employees are returning to work at Alkesta again – this confirms that the company is on the right path,” says T. Lukšas.
