Major repair works were carried out on the section of road No. 140 Kaunas–Zapyškis–Šakiai from km 52.773 to km 59.130, together with the installation of a stormwater drainage network.
From km 52.773 to 53.920, a 2.5 m wide pedestrian and bicycle path was installed on the left side. From km 53.920 to 59.130, a 1.5 m wide shared pedestrian and bicycle path was installed. Where embankment slopes exceed 1.5 m in height, protective fencing was installed.
A total of 53 access roads (driveways) were constructed, 4 bus stop areas were reconstructed, and 8 existing intersections were upgraded.
