Installation of the Physical Barrier in the Territory of the Republic of Lithuania (Southern and Northeastern Sections)
The physical barrier was installed within the territory of the Republic of Lithuania to strengthen control over illegal migration across the border with Belarus. This project represents an important step toward ensuring border security and order, helping manage migration flows and maintain national safety.
Completed Works:
- Driving of posts – ensured a solid structure capable of withstanding various environmental conditions;
- Installation of fence segments – created a barrier that effectively separates territories and prevents illegal crossings;
- Mounting of supports – formed a stable construction, guaranteeing durability and reliability;
- Installation of wire and concertina – additional protective measures were installed, especially sharp-edged concertina wire, which restricts the possibility of climbing over or passing through.
This physical barrier not only helps control illegal migration but also contributes to strengthening regional security by ensuring better surveillance and border protection.
